Watch DOGS - BackgroundTop of Page

Watch DOGS is the safe school initiative of the National Center for Fathering that was founded by Jim Moore, a concerned father who chose to take action in response to a 1998 middle school shooting in Jonesboro, AR.  Moore wanted to help prevent violence from occurring at his children's school, or any school.  The first program was launched at George Elementary in Springdale, AR, the school of Moore's oldest child.
Today, more than 1067 programs in 34 states and New Zealand participate.

Our MissionTop of Page

To provide positive male role models for LCE, demonstrating by their presence that education is important and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

How It Works - Get Involved!Top of Page

Watch DOGS invites fathers, grandfathers, or any male role models to volunteer either watching recess or helping in the classroom. Participation can be as little as one hour as as much as one day, or multiple days a year.  We will also help coordinate the mother/son night for LCE.
