Welcome to Lincoln Crossing Elementary. We are looking forward to welcoming our newest Colt families to campus this fall. Please read the information below for details on how to register your child for school in our District and at Lincoln Crossing.

NEW TO LINCOLN CROSSING ELEMENTARY? THIS INCLUDES FAMILIES WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN TK.

TK and Kindergarten registration documents for students whose families are brand new to Lincoln Crossing will be taken in the Lincoln Crossing office beginning at 7 am on Monday, February 11, 2019.
  • at this point, there will be NO priority notation for the Transitional Kindergarten program - students will be placed in TK class via a lottery held in the spring.
  • there is a FIRST COME, FIRST ENROLLED policy for our Kindergarten classes; the total number of new K students we will enroll in our school in 2019-20 is variable and depends on how many current families bring in new K students.
  • if your child was in our (or any WPUSD) TK class, but he/she does not have siblings already enrolled at LCES in grade K-5, you do not have priority registration for our Kinder program - see bullet 2 above

CURRENT LINCOLN CROSSING FAMILIES OR FORMER FAMILIES WHO HAVE MAINTAINED WPUSD ENROLLMENT
  • families who are enrolling a new K student at LCE, and already have a child enrolled at LCE, or who had a child at LCE and that child has maintained enrollment in WPUSD schools have priority registration for Kindergarten.
  • families in this category must turn in all registration materials by Friday, March 1 at 4 pm for guaranteed K enrollment at LCE.
  • at this point, there will be NO priority notation for the Transitional Kindergarten program - students will be placed in TK class via a lottery held in the spring.

OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

K or TK? - Important Birth Date Requirements
Students are eligible for K if they turn 5 on or before September 1, 2019. Students who turn 5 between September 2-December 31, 2019 are eligible for the district's TK program

How to Register for K or TK Programs
The district hosts a part online/part paper registration system to register students in our TK and K programs. For detailed instructions on how to register your child for TK or K, please visit the district's registration website

Can I Request AM/PM Placement?
Parents are able to select a preference for an AM or PM placement. Because we must balance our classes based on a variety of factors, we are unable to guarantee a parents preference. The order a packet is received is not a consideration for AM/PM placement.  The specific needs of the student, family, and criteria for balancing classes is used to determine AM/PM assignments.

Can I Request a Specific Teacher?
We are unable to accept requests for specific teachers. However, parents may complete a Parent Information form and include it with their child's registration packet. You can find this form here. This form will be updated with the correct date soon! In the meantime, the 2018 form will work!

Please visit the school district's registration site regularly in January & early February for the most up-to-date information about TK and K registration. You are welcome to call our office (916 434 5292) with specific questions but we ask that you review the district's registration website first.

INFORMATION FOR NEW FAMILIES TO LINCOLN CROSSINGTop of Page

Following are the instructions for those families enrolling students who do not have any older siblings attending LCES.

The school has spots for 110 kindergarten students. In previous years we have had over 150 students register. As a result, we have had to overflow incoming kindergarten students to our sister school. All new students to LCES are assigned a spot on a first come, first served basis with those overflowed placed on a wait list.
  1. Your completed registration materials (see above) may be turned in beginning Monday, February 26 at 7:00am.
  2. Registration materials will be date and time stamped in the order they are received.
Parents will be notified by the end of April if their student will be assigned to Lincoln Crossing or overflowed to another school within the district.

INFORMATION FOR CURRENT FAMILIESTop of Page

Following are the instructions for those families who have an older sibling enrolled at Lincoln Crossing or who are enrolled at another school within the district as an LCES Overflow Student. This also applies to families who have had an older student attend LCES in the past and who have maintained their enrollment within the WPUSD.

Families with children currently attending LCES or who are attending another school as an overflow student have priority and will be enrolled at the school as long as their packets are received in the school office by Friday, March 23 at 4 pm.  As long as we receive your child's registration packet by this date, your child has a guaranteed spot at Lincoln Crossing.

Registration requirements are identical to those specified above or on the WPUSD registration website.
